Little Hands on the Farm

September 4th - 14th 10:00 am - 8:00 pm

 

An interactive experience especially for children ages 2 to 10. Kids (and their parents) will gain a better understanding of the farm to grocery store process, as they become "Little Hands on the Farm!" The Little Hands on the Farm experience is included with gate admission and can be found west of the arena.

Utah's Own PRCA Rodeo

September 4th-7th

 

America's original extreme sport stampedes into the Arena at 7:00 pm nightly and it's included with paid gate admission. Come early! Seats fill up fast!

Be Ready Utah

September 4th - 8th

 

Presented by the Department of Public Safety's Division of Homeland Security/ Office of Emergency Services, and the Utah Commission on Volunteers encourages all Utah citizens to prepare family, church, school and business against any type of natural or human caused event. Emergencies, small or catastrophic are inevitable, but through planning and preparation we can "Be Ready Utah" and have disaster resilient communities.

Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest

September 6th

 

The search is on for the best of the worst rotten sneakers in Utah. Odor-Eaters is back again this year and they're looking for you, well actually they're looking for your rotten, grotesque, smelly, just-plain-need-to-be-replaced sneakers. If you are age 5-15 and you think your sneakers are up to the task, or just want to watch the best of the worst show for the Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest. Check the "Daily Schedule" for time and location of this exciting event.

Utah Folk Masters

September 6th in the Pioneer Building

 

If you're intrigued by people who know how to hitch horse hair into headstalls and bosals, or those who can turn a side of rawhide into beautifully braided reins, don't miss Utah Folk Masters, presented by the Utah Arts Council--a day-long celebration of Utah's best traditional artists! You can talk with artists, watch them work and learn about the community-based art forms being produced throughout Utah by artists from a variety of occupational and ethnic groups. Don't forget to come back for the evening performances of music and dance provided by some of Utah's finest folk artists.

September 8th are the finals in the Pioneer Building

 

Watch local kids show their talents and look to become future circus stars! Utah State Fair will host both the try-outs and the finals this year. Are you Utah's Funniest Kid? The finalists will be invited back for the main event held on the 8th at 7:00 pm in the Pioneer Building.

Utah Beef Council - Beef Feast

Don't miss the Beef Feast! It begins at 11:00 am. All of the grub is cooked on site. A sandwich with chips is $5.00, and $2.00 for a drink. Once you try it, you'll be back year after year.
