Special Rules
Exhibitors are required to read and abide by General Rules, Health Regulations, Livestock General Rules and Policy for Private Sale. ** Exhibitors should check the online entry list of breeds - breeds not listed will be judged together under All Other Recognized Breeds. **
1. One season pass will be given to breeders entering 12 or more birds. 2. Entry forms must include the following information: Breed -Variety & Color - whether Old Cock, Old Hen, Young Cock, Young Hen - Band Number. *When entering online, enter leg band number in description. 3. Substitutions will be allowed within the same breed only. 4. Exhibits that have been shipped in will be returned collect, at a value of $5 per bird unless otherwise specified. 5. The show management will not be responsible for any damage, accident or death in transit, for birds shipped to the exhibit. 6. Bands: This show is conducted under rules that recognize all seamless bands of reputable banding organizations. All birds must wear official bands of the proper size issued by any club organization, and may enter and compete on a fair basis for the premiums offered. All birds must wear some kind of regulation numbered band. Letters as well as numbers must be shown on a leg band. If split or oversized bands are used, birds will be classed as old birds. Health Regulations 1. Sick birds will not be accepted. The Supervisor or his assistant shall be the judge as to what constitutes a sick bird. No healthy birds are to be removed from the exhibit room without permission from the supervisor. 2. An exhibitor shall not enter birds exposed to or affected with any contagious or infectious disease. Refer to Health Regulations governing exhibits of livestock. These rules will be enforced by the Utah Department of Agriculture. The show management shall return to the owner any bird showing symptoms of contagious or infectious diseases. 3. All birds on exhibit shall be inspected daily by a competent and qualified person. 4. Show coops and cups shall be of such material that they can be kept sanitary. Judging 1. Disqualifications: The right is reserved for judges to disqualify all unworthy specimens. Each specimen must be bona fide property of the exhibitor and shown in its natural condition. Conversation with the judge is prohibited during judging, except with show management. A violation of this rule disqualifies the exhibitor's birds. The judge's decision will be final. 2. No exhibitor will receive more than 2 monies in any one lot. An example of a lot is: Racing Homer, Bar, Young Hen. |
